Our Story

Chomp is a made-to-order Reno salad bar designed to offer both a seamless experience and a conveniently healthy meal.  Tossed chopped, or wrapped all of our ingredients are sourced locally, and organic when possible, ensuring quality to the very last bite.  The purpose of our Reno restaurant it to combine the precision of an architect and the craft of a farmer together in one bowl, creating the perfectly designed salad.

Chomp’s salads are layered, full of nutrition, flavor filled, and all carefully crafted.  We strive to offer minimally processed, nutrient dense meals.  Chomp supports Reno’s agricultural and entrepreneurial community sourcing locally and sustainably.

Our bites are by design.  In addition to salads, we offer delicious sounds and bread, mix and match your own trail mix bar and traditional & vegan soft serve.

Chomp was named in honor of Frederic DeLongchamps, one of Nevada’s most prolific architects. Over time he earned himself the title of ‘Nevada’s finest historical architect’and is notable for entering architectural profession with no extensive formal training.

His work still holds substantial historic importance, and we view his buildings as significant contributions to our community. Our favorite: the home of our flagship location, The U.S. Post Office in downtown Reno, Nevada.
